Las Flores High School - A Community of Lifelong Learners!

Las Flores High School provides a unique educational experience for kindergarten-twelfth grade students that include a safe campus, supportive learning enviornment and the district's rigourous and comprehensive curriculum.  Kindergarten through sixth grade students participate in a home study program, and seventh and eighth grade students particpate in the home study program with the option of attending on campus support classes in specific subjects.  High school students participate in an independent study program.  All aspects of the school contribute to providing students with the skills necessary to be successful independent learners.

Our district's mission is to provide a learning community that challenges all students to realize their greatest potential.

Las Flores supports the district's mission and bold Goals through the expected school wide learning results:

Our success in implementing our district's mission can be evidenced through our strengths which include:

• An individual learning plan developed for each student.
• A flexible independent study format that allows students to pursue their assignments creatively and independently.
• Supplemental classes and labs that enhance the independent study learning experience.
• Enrollment at local community colleges for qualifying students.

Parental support and involvement  continue to be important aspects of the success of Las Flores High School.  Our School Site Council assists in making critical decisions about instructional goals and the socpe of our program.

The mission of Las Flores is to prepare and challenge students for the 21st century. The curriculum and teaching materials designed to provide students with the mastery of academic and technical skills so students can compete in the workplace as well as be prepared to succeed in college. We expect a Las Flores graduate to have developed a sense of community as well as to be a productive citizen in today’s society. Upon completion of the Las Flores course of study, students earn a comprehensive high school diploma.
